Privacy Policy

This notice is provided under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. It explains which personal data we process when you visit this site or contact us, why, and for how long.

1. Data controller

2. Data we process

  • Browsing data. When you visit the site, the hosting provider records technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) needed to run and protect the site.
  • Data you send us. If you email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp, we process the data you share (name, contact details, date, number of guests, message content).

The site has no forms, no newsletter, no profiling cookies and no analytics tools.

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Replying to your requests and handling table and event bookings: pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Running and securing the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).

4. Who receives the data

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — site hosting and delivery.
  • The controller's email provider — receiving your emails.

Some services are external and act as independent controllers under their own policies: WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there; Google, if you load the map on the Contact page or open Google Maps; Clubbing, if you buy tickets on their site; Instagram, if you open our profile.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

6. Retention

  • Requests and bookings: as long as needed to handle them and no longer than 24 months, unless the law requires otherwise.
  • Browsing data: for the hosting provider's technical retention period.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and object to processing, by writing to info@theboxcourmayeur.it. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
